Title: FAL Super 100 repair
Post by: SONGSTICKS on August 17, 2014, 06:36:24 AM
Hi,
I just bought an FAL Super 100 amp head / PA at the bootfair for £10
It powers up and the light comes on but no sound.
On further investigation is notice there's two Fuse holders on the back, neither of which have fuses in them, so I'm presuming that's the problem.
So here is my question. Does anyone know what rating the fuses would need to be please?
Also.. One of the screw in Fuse holder covers is missing. Can anyone recommend a supplier of such things please?

Cheers
Gary

What is a FAL super 100 amplifier?
At least a couple pictures would help.
Don't those fuses have any labels close by?
You won't get spare screw on covers and even if you did, pitch/thread probably wouldn't match, so get same size new fuse holders and replace them.
That said, missing fuses and a $10 price tag probably means they have some kind of important damage.
Do you have some experience plus tools to service an amplifier?
