Title: Solid State amp problems
Post by: ericeldridge on November 15, 2011, 12:09:56 AM
I'm a total noob at electronics and i was wondering if anyone here could point me in the right direction. I have friends who are much better at electronics, and if i could just point them in the right direction, they may be able to fix it.

I have a Legion Sound (i think it's a bit of a no-namer) 100 watt or so solid state head. I bought the cab off of a friend, and he threw in the head for free. It doesn't turn on, or make any noise at all.

I also have a Fender Stage 185 that's shorting out, I believe. It would sometimes short out, and then recently all sound stopped going through.

Any ideas on how to find or fix these problems would be greatly appreciated!

Fine. Please tell some of your friends to ask here specific questions.

I vote along with JM here.  It costs nothing to sign up here, and this place won;t send you any spam on your email account.  If your electroncis friends have questions, so much better if they ask questions and get answers directly rather than going through someone - yourself - who doesn't have electronics knowledge.

The Legion Sound LSG100 was simular to Dime's Randall(before he had it modded).
