I just bought classic vt few month ago. It's a convert from combo to head. I wanna know what the original wattage for the speaker? and any experience in using one speaker for this amp? cause i'm planning to make a custom 1x12 cab, so it'll be easier for me to carry. tq

Welcome to the place here! The Classic VT combo had two 12" speakers that were connected in parallel. Both speakers were 8 ohms and in parallel that will give you a 4 ohm load. Two 6L6 tubes on the output makes for around 50 watts(as advertised), but probably a tiny bit less. So you need at least a 50 watt or higher rated 4 ohm speaker. Juan(member here) is the speaker expert and he'll chime in soon, I am sure, to suggest specific speakers that sound great.

I would suggest a Jensen MOD 12-50 (look for a 4 ohm version) - you could also look for a driver with a neodymium magnet but you will pay $$ but save weight.
