Given that we are thinking of pretty moderate levels of comp-ansion this seems do-able.

My first thought is a couple of OTA and a current mirror.  But controlled by what?  A rocker pedal?
If you say theory and practice don't agree you haven't applied enough theory.

Thanks Roly,, Yep having messed around with some dolby stuff way back as well as some breadboard testing of a few different compressor circuits I'm unlikely to succeed. xP

Meantime I've found a way around this which I'll post in a new thread. 8)
